Malaysia – Singapore Journey with AEROLINE Bus

If you’re already stopping by Kuala Lumpur, it almost feels like a missed opportunity not to visit its neighboring country, Singapore. It’s close by, and there are plenty of transportation options available. This time, I chose to travel overland and AEROLINE was my pick after seeing several positive reviews on social media. Here’s how my experience went.

Ticket Booking

In Malaysia, it’s very common to book tickets directly through the official website of the bus operator. You can simply visit https://www.aeroline.com.my/ to make a reservation. Although the website looks quite outdated, it’s still fairly easy to use. The main downside is that some of the interface elements are quite small, which can make entering personal details a bit inconvenient.

Ticket Price

At the end of 2025, I booked a round-trip ticket for around RM 264. You can convert this to your local currency based on the current exchange rate, as prices may change at any time.

Service and Facilities

The journey begins by waiting for the bus at the lobby of Corus Hotel in Kuala Lumpur. Guests are provided with seating as well as light breakfast options such as tea and hot chocolate. However, I personally preferred grabbing a quick meal from the nearby 7-Eleven next to the hotel.

Before heading into the waiting area, make sure your ticket has been checked by the AEROLINE staff at the hotel lobby. This is important to avoid boarding the wrong bus, as departure times are quite close to one another.

Once it’s time to depart, passengers are guided to the bus. Before boarding, you’ll need to hand over your luggage to the AEROLINE staff so it can be stored in the luggage compartment. Be sure to double-check your seat number as well. The nice thing is that you can choose between a single or double seat. I personally went with a single seat for extra comfort.

In terms of facilities, this is probably the most well equipped bus I’ve ever experienced, especially compared to bus services in Indonesia.

  • Seating Arrangement: The bus has two levels: upper and lower decks. The lower deck has fewer seats but is closer to the restroom and pantry area.
  • Seats: The single seats are quite spacious and come with a leg rest, plus charging ports (USB and Malaysia-standard adapters). A blanket is also provided since the air-conditioning can get quite cold. One thing I really appreciated is the safety each seat is equipped with a seatbelt, making the ride feel more secure even when the road gets bumpy.
  • Entertainment: Each seat has a personal screen where you can watch movies, listen to music, or play games. Everything is organized in a dedicated entertainment menu. If you’re worried about noise or don’t have your own earphones, don’t worry, they also provide headsets so you can enjoy your entertainment privately.
  • Meals: Your ticket includes a meal voucher, where you can choose between a standard or vegan menu. Drinks such as tea, coffee, or hot chocolate are also provided. Overall, I found the food quite enjoyable, some sauces didn’t quite match my taste, but in general I’d rate it 9/10 for both taste and portion.

These are the various facilities and services that made my journey from KLCC, Malaysia to HarbourFront Singapore a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
